D-Mart Expands its Reach: Avenue Supermarts Reports Significant Q2 Earnings
Avenue Supermarts, the parent company of D-Mart, reports a strong Q2 with a 5.78% rise in profit.
Total expenses of Avenue Supermarts for the September quarter increased by 14.94% to Rs 13,574.83 crore.
Avenue Supermarts Ltd, the company that runs D-Mart stores, shared good news about its earnings for the second quarter ending in September 2024.
They made a net profit of Rs 659.44 crore, which is 5.78% more than the Rs 623.35 crore they made during the same time last year.
The company's money from sales also increased by 14.41%, reaching Rs 14,444.50 crore, up from Rs 12,624.37 crore in the same quarter last year.
Total expenses for the September quarter increased by 14.94% to Rs 13,574.83 crore.
Total income, which includes other income, grew by 14.34% to Rs 14,478.02 crore.
During this quarter, D-Mart opened six new stores, bringing its total to 377 as of September 30, 2024.
Neville Noronh, CEO and Managing Director of Avenue Supermarts, noted, "Overall H1 FY 2025 like-for-like revenue growth for the same cohort of stores was at 5.5%."
D-Mart was founded by Radhakishan Damani and his family.
The store sells a variety of essential home and personal products and is located in many states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, the National Capital Region (NCR), Chhattisgarh, and Daman.
